I know, right? All these conservatives speaking for Jesus and saying he'd actually LIKE all those things?
It is disgusting!
Wait...why do you call me a jerk if we're agreeing?

It's disgusting because you are now using his image to advance your agenda of hate. Isn't it bad enough that "they" have used him to advance hate?
Jesus taught and lived love, peace, and harmony for EVERYONE. There is not one scripture in the Bible of Jesus denouncing homosexuals. Yet "they" use his name to advance their agenda of hate.
With you using his image to mock makes You just as bad as those who persecute you in his name. You are a jerk!

Yes, it is.

Yes. Delightful. Goodness knows these are exactly the sort of things those nasty-wasty Chwistians are pushing for.

James, you're a better writer than that and we both know it.
It's the christians who are charged with bringing god to the masses, and frankly, this is what a very very large number of people believe about the christians and their 'message' and their republicanism.
It's incumbent on you people to change that.
If Mr. Fish and the rest of us are wrong, then go out and tell people that gay people deserve to be treated like everyone else, that guns in fact ARE bad and no one should be allowed to own automatic and military-class weaponry, that no one should be killed because of a crime, that Mexicans deserve just as much of a chance at peace, liberty and prosperity as anyone else no matter where they were born, that language is part of heritage and should be considered such, that the government of this country as no right to co-opt jesus away from you people for its own purposes, that stifling anyone's right to say what they want is bad, that war is bad no matter what, that everyone deserves to be treated for illness and injury out of basic human respect, and that patriotism is now being used as a tool of fear.
you go out and say all those things, officially, as a church, and then i'll recant my support of this political cartoon.
til then, shut up about it.

James' irony is terse only because it can be: today's fundies are THAT easy to pigeonhole.
now, seeker, let's hear what you have to say about things rather than just your nagging negativity? guns...homos...health-care for all...non-citizens are humans no better or worse than you?
No? nothing but bitching?

Never seen James' writing before, but it sounds to me like he has the finger on the pulse in terms of criticizing your poor choice in art. In fact, his writing seems to be quite on to me, as he is saying a great deal with very few words.
